Chester the Blue Angel

We picked up this stuffed Blue Angel for my daughter at the National Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pensacola last year after watching the Navy's Blue Angels flight demonstration team practice. She named it Chester, for some reason.

The tail has some plastic in it that makes it rigid, and this was apparently the ideal spot for the other Chester to chew.

I don't know if there is any actual irony involved in Chester chewing on Chester, but there is certainly some potential for infinite recursion.

Comb and Brush

He only really managed to chew on the ends of these, and at different times, but I thought I'd take a picture while I had the camera out.

Usually we manage to stop him chewing before he does any real damage, but when he gets one of the kids' toys he usually does his worst. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hoping he chews up a kid's toy, but it would make a good picture.

A Skein of Yarn

Dawn had bought some yarn for arts and crafts projects. Chester found it the other day and unraveled a bit of it.

He also found a skein of black yarn and ran outside with it. It was more unraveled than this one. I threw it away before I could take a picture, and anyway it was so tangled and strung out that I don't think I could have gotten a good picture.

A Pencil

A Pencil

I think this was a pencil I bought at Disney World for my then barely girlfriend, now wife, in August 1997. We had only known each other for about a month when I went to Orlando for the Drum Corps International World Championships with my brother and his wife. I knew her enough to know that I liked her, so I bought her this little trinket.

Later that year I bought her a yo-yo from an art museum in Toronto.
