Chester chewed this pencil on October 21, 2008, while I was watching Heroes.
I think this was a pencil I bought at Disney World for my then barely girlfriend, now wife, in August 1997. We had only known each other for about a month when I went to Orlando for the Drum Corps International World Championships with my brother and his wife. I knew her enough to know that I liked her, so I bought her this little trinket.
Later that year I bought her a yo-yo from an art museum in Toronto.

Chester is a wonderful, playful, lovable Golden Retriever. There's just one problem... he chews anything he can get his teeth on.
